So I got this book a very long time ago when it was still on sale in the game store. Published by White Wolf (?!) the game makes use of their unique game system that is used for Vampire the Masquerade, and other games) while also trying to integrate aspects of what is Street Fighter into a playable RPG.
The game system worked but just never really caught on when it came out. Capcom probably would have had better success creating a Street Fighter RPG for consoles rather than a table top one.
But as I said the game works and does maintain something of a cult following.
The rules are in line with other rules for White Wolf's other games, as such if a GM/Storyteller wanted to allow a cross over, where a Street Fighter got to beat up angst ridden vampires, they could do so.
[Come on, you know you want to LARP this.]
Of course while the game only ran for a few books it covered just the Street Fighter 2 series of games. The fan base for the game has of course worked to craft expanding rules and content for the now defunct game.
Now I'd probably just use Hero System these days for something like this, but this is a less robust system than Hero System and still holds up...or at lease to me it does.
LARPing is also an option with the game system like with all White Wolf games...but the question is why would you want to?
In all the game was a fun read and a blast from the past. I remember getting the game and never really got around to playing with any friends, but held on to it just because.
And if your curious about some of its continued life check out this site: http://sfrpg.com/g-file/
But that's if for me for today. I'm going to play some video games and record the game play an post on YouTube.
